Historic NEVER SEEN Relief on Edison Electric Motor 4 Museum Personal Collection - $122 - (Aberdeen, WA)
After countless hours of extensive searching we are offering what we believe is an extremely rare very early Edison motor example. You will find examples with metal plates like this example (oddly enough upside down in this case). You will see early examples with embossed brass plates that were obviously placed with intentions to impress. Look at the degree of raised lettering that was placed on this motor. That took some real effort and was or make that IS a serious statement lauding the famous inventor. The crafting of the casing shows both tremendous effort and crudeness perhaps indicative of a very early example or Salesman's Sample? The shaft spins freely but we haven't attempted to open the casing. A great big Edison mystery and perhaps a national treasure. We've taken treasure like ownership of it. Offers with sound reasoning accepted.
