Ideal Patti Playpal Rare Platinum Doll - $1,050 - (Mechanicsville, VA)
Beautiful Ideal Patti Playpal doll from 1959. Patti has the gorgeous, rare platinum hair color. She is in very good condition for her almost 60 years, a 35 inch tall walker doll and marked Ideal on her back. One eye can be a bit lazy, but I just adjust her head slightly and it displays fine. Not sure if her hair ever had a trim (by her 1959 mama perhaps) but it looks pretty nice and such a beautiful color. She looks fine to me otherwise, no cracks or stains on her. I bought her from a very meticulous Playpal collector several years ago, so she always sells very nice dolls. But please note she is a vintage doll almost 60 years old, and vintage items are not perfect. She is wearing an original Playpal blue velvet dress and shoes (socks are replacements). Her dress us definitely showing its age in the sleeves, waistband and ribbon. I am not a seamstress so I will leave it to Patti's new mom if they want to try and do some mending of the dress. I think she has displayed quite nicely as is. Doll stand is not included. Patti has been displayed in my smoke free home. I hate to part with her but selling her to pay vet bills (my 9 year old kitty has failing kidneys). Please ask any questions you may have before bidding.
