Up for sale is a matched pair of ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AR 570 Studio Power Partner Monitor Speakers in excellent condition. Serial Numbers #74588 & 74589. This pair has the more translucent metal mesh grill covering, which tends to sound more open, than the more opaque cloth over metal grill variant. SPECIFICATIONS: Powered multimedia speakers with 35-watt built-in amplifiers. Each internal amp is a power bridge amplifier, dual design, using 10 amp discrete output transistors and large smoothing capacitors. Magnetic shielded, 5-inch polypropylene, long throw woofers and 1-inch fluid-filled polycarbonate tweeters are set in a durable black alloy case for strength and heat dissipation. 40 to 25,000 Hz -3dB frequency response; AC power or DC battery operation 70 Watts dynamic power maximum speaker power output, with each speaker capable of delivering peak sound pressure levels at 1m in excess of 109dB. Individual bass and treble controls and auto on/off power operation. Each speaker measures 6.5 x 10.5 x 7.6 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 9.92 pounds They are really in fantastic condition with very light cosmetic wear. There might be a light scuff here or there, but most are not noticeable. Drivers are in excellent condition. These Powered Partners pop up on Ebay from time to time, but most have seen hard use or wear and tear from being in a mobile environment. That is not the case with this pair. Both of these speakers have been my personal computer monitors on my desk for the last decade or so and used very lightly. They still sound fantastic, play way louder than they look like they could (or should!), and all functions work as the factory intended. Comes with both of the original C7-C8 power cords. I don’t have the original box, BUT, I will carefully and professionally pack these little jewels using styrofoam sheets surrounded by peanut foam using a double boxed system.
