Polk Audio SDA 2A Speakers - Upgraded Crossovers! - $425 - (Maineville, OH)

These speakers WILL impress you! If you have never heard of Polk Audio's line of Stereo Dimenional Array (SDA) speakers from later 80's/early 90's, then please take a closer look. First, you need to understand that these are not simple right and left channel speakers. There is an interconnect wire which runs between each speaker. On the right cabinet, the inner speaker plays the left channel out of phase so this cancels out the sound from the left channel that get around to your right ear. Reverse happens on the left side so that your right ear only hears the right channel and left ear only hears the left channel. You sound stage opens up unbelievably wide - at least twice the wide that the cabinets are set apart! These speakers have a big following of enthusiasts. What I've done is to change out the old capacitors and new high grade caps, and change out the resistors with Mills resistors. These DO NOT include an interconnect cable, but you can make one out of regular speaker wire. I'm not sure the cost of shipping these would be worth the cost, but I will ship if you contact a FedEx or UPS Mail Store locally to 45039 and you pay them to pack and ship. I will deliver the speakers to them after payment is received and they will be your responsibility after I drop them off there. Otherwise, this is for local pickup.
