Not sure what type of hardwood but it is nice fine grain Structure is very sturdy. Metal rails and springs underneath are coated in what looks like original black paint and are in good shape and not rusted Loveseat is 54" wide, back is 35" tall, seat is 16" from floor to top of cushion Chair is 29 3/4" wide, back is 33 1/2" tall, seat is 13" from floor.
