This is a 64" x 42" Original and Vintage Navajo woven textile in the form of a woman's pattern third phase Chief's blanket in a polychrome design, ca 1880-90. The thin black and white stripes were indicative of a woman's blanket. Fine condition with no moth damage or staining, with one small repair that looks native. The selvedge is excellent all around, with a stunning patina, with the colors looking like they were woven yesterday. From the Branch Estate, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The labels are from Christie's Auction, an old price tag of $ 13,000, and a descriptive gallery tag. As ever this is guaranteed 100% money back, to be as represented.
