Large 71/4" China Doll Head Circa 1860-1880 - $225 - (Williamsburg, VA)

Wonderful large doll head, circa 1860's, made in Germany possibly by Hertwig & Co. or Kister. The doll head measures 7 1/4" tall and is 6 1/2 " wide at the shoulders. This should make a very large doll- 22" or larger. There are no chips, cracks, crazing but there is some light paint wear to the back of the head on the hair. The number 15 is embedded on the inside of the doll. 6 holes to attach the body to- 3 on each side.
