1986 game-worn, game-used Ben (Benji) Oglivie Milwaukee Brewers road grey jersey by Sand-Knit, size 46, with proper team tagging and striptags. Shows plenty of game use and wash & wear with some staining, puckering of letters, and slight fading of knit neck and sleeve trim from multiple launderings. Game usage came from Benji's road games in 1986 plus additional use by another player during the following 1987 spring training season, as Oglivie retired following the '86 season. All original jersey, lettering and numbers. The original stitching on the yellow layer of tackle twill was deteriorated, so it was professionally re-sewn, beautifully. The stitching on the blue layer was generally in good shape and remains original stitching. NOTE: only the yellow stitching was replaced; the twill numbers and lettering are original and were not replaced. Jersey measures 22.5 inches pit-to-pit and tapers to about 19 inches at abdomen, which equates to Oglivie's normal slender size 42 measurements. Size is tagged by Sand-Knit manufacturer as two sizes bigger than normal, same as several other Brewer player gamers were that season (Bosio and Plesac were among other examples). To repeat however, the measurements of this jersey cited above match Benji's normal size 42 measurements, proving out the 2-size tagging problem by the Sand-Knit manufacturer.
