Paul Sawyier "WILSON STORE AT KEENE" lithograph print & cherry frame Kentucky - $449 - (Lebanon, KY)
This is Kentucky artist Paul Sawyier print, "WILSON STORE AT KEENE " in a wide cherry frame with double mat. It is a color lithograph and reproduced by the Kentucky Historical Society in a limited edition of 2000 in the early 1980's. It is one of the most difficult Sawyier prints to find and also has one of the highest resale prices of all his prints. As framed, it measures 30-7/8" wide and height of 27-3/8". INTERESTING NOTES: The original 1916 watercolor painting done by Paul Sawyier was of a store/hotel in the small town of Keene, KY in Jessamine County. It was known as the Keene Springs Hotel. The tavern hotel was purchased by Fielding S. Wilson and his wife, Annie, in 1868. A family store was operated there for several generations. Thanks for looking!
