This school boy has the feel of a German school boy with the feather in the cap and the ruck sack. But there is a cap hanging from the back of the pack and it most resembles a baseball cap. He is very intriguing and quite collectible standing 5&1/2 inches tall on a base which is 2&1/4 inches in diameter. He showed up at an estate sale in WI and came home with me. Nice addition to any figurine collection. He was made between 1945 and 1952 the time of the US occupation. These ceramics were made for export and to restart the Japanese economy. I think it worked.
