Conn USA 22H Director Trombone + Hardshell Case + Conn 12C Shortshank Mouthpiece - $175 - (Randolph, UT)
This is a nice Conn Director 22H Trombone. The bell says Conn USA 22H. It measures 8 inches across (outside edge).The serial number is 851121, which puts it being made around 1960.There is another number stamped into it, L3484 (I'm not sure what that means). The lacquer is mostly present.The slide moves smoothly and easily. There are some dents/dings/scratches in this old horn (see pictures). The bell has at some point been worked on, you can see where it was at one time bent, but now looks fine. It comes with a hard case and a Conn 12C Mouthpiece. The case is old but is still very usable and will protect the trombone nicely. The mouthpiece is in good working order. It has a couple spots on the shank where the silver has rubbed off. Plays nicely! A good ole' trombone!
