Mike’s Train House (MTH) ProtoSounds Dealer Display Package Number 50 This Mike’s Train House (MTH) “dealer only” ProtoSounds Display Package was shipped to dealers around 1996 to demonstrate the “latest” QSI ProtoSounds available in MTH engines, freight/box/stock cars and ProtoSounds blocks available for purchase from MTH. This “package” is ideal for MTH collectors or someone looking to preserve some of MTH’s history. There were only 50 Display Packages made (with a total of 200 yellow and purple ProtoSound Boxcars/Stock Cars). Many dealers sold the 4 ProtoSound blocks and the 4 ProtoSound Boxcars/Stock Cars right off the display. Therefore there are very few complete packages still around with all the items that were part of the original display. The following items are included for sale as a “Package”: 1) MTH 4-step oak display with track and wiring underneath. (The 4-step oak display measures approximately 24” wide, 13.5” high and 17” deep.) 2) Laminated “ProtoSound” sign. 3) Four “doorbell” buttons attached to the 3rd step of the oak display to activate the ProtoSound blocks. 4) Four NEW ProtoSound blocks. (I am including sound block numbers PE-500 Country Sounds, PE501 Train Station sounds, PE-502 Barnyard Sounds and 50-505 Christmas Sounds. (The sound boxes on the display were removed by the dealer and sold separately but I found four sound blocks in new condition.) 5) Two NEW yellow 40200 ProtoSound Boxcars (9v battery removed for safety.) (One motion activated ProtoSound board inside the boxcar is Laughing Santa and the other is Shifting Freight Sounds.) 6) Two NEW purple 60080 ProtoSound Stock Cars (9v battery removed for safety.) (One motion activated ProtoSound board inside stock car is Cow Sounds and the other is Horse Sounds.)
