Rockman: VINTAGE DISTORTION GENERATOR WITH PREAMP AND DIRECT LINE DRIVER. - $435 - (Aberdeen, SD)

The Rockman Distortion Generator was designed by Tom Schultz of Boston fame. Schultz was an electronic guru who personally built all of his own equipment. Anyone looking for the classic rock sound of the late 1970's and early 1980's will love the sound of this box. Purchased in 1988, and used for a few years; solely in my bedroom, this half rack unit has been sitting in storage ever since. When connected to my Randall combo or Mesa Boogie 50 Cal amps, it sounded just like it did in the 80's. There are two foot switch inputs for bypass and Lead boost, a three band eq with frequencies specific to the guitar as well as a phase notch and Auto Clean buttons. The unit has some minor scratches, and oxidation on the input washers, but is completely functional. I have seen a similar unit from japan selling for $535.
