Tom Mix Western Published 1940 to 1942 by Ralston Straight Shooters. Early rare Western Golden Age comic set, #'s 1-11. Please see photos for comics and condition. A graded list of the comics follows. They are all well preserved copies with some being high grade, difficult to find this early in the history of Western Comics. In grading I have considered shipping tape and address stickers to be part of the original comic's condition, and have not taken them as detractors from their grading. They might even be bonuses, as they are part of the original state of the comics. Grading is by Overstreet standards. These books were hard for me to grade, so please take the grades in this instance as non-absolute guides to the condition of the books. #1: a strict VG+ due to the corner tear, otherwise very sharp, a flat copy that has an address sticker on the back, and a bit of shipping tape to the open side of the comic that was used to keep the comic from separating during its initial shipment. It has a torn upper corner at spine at back cover Otherwise a very clean and neat comic. #2 : Fine to Fine+ 6.0 to 6.5, sharp and flat and good color, has an address sticker on the back, shipping tape to the side of the comic, and a bit of waviness to the top of the back cover from the adhesion of the address sticker to the back cover. Otherwise minor wear. #3: VF- 7.5, sharp, a minor tear to bottom of spine, shipping tape, an address sticker on the back of cover, and some waviness to the cover due to the address sticker. #4: Fine+ 6.5, tear at top left of spine on back, an address stamp, hardly any waviness from it, otherwise a very clean and neat copy. No shipping tape. #5: Fine 6.0, shipping tape has been removed and their is slight evidence of this, a small tear at bottom of front cover, an address sticker. Again, a sharp copy. #6: VF- 7.5, very sharp, shipping tape intact, minor waviness at the shipping label which is attached, and otherwise slight tearing and other minor wear. …
