Here is a great example of a late 80s artwood birch snare in a heather metallic lacquer finish. Inside and out. Steel mighty hoops. Extended wires with snare roller and the bulletproof box type strainer. 7 ply, 9mm all birch shell. These aged, birch shells really sound incredible, and the "heather metallic" lacquer looks amazing under lights! Its sensitive, and has great attack and body. A great all around snare.
