This auction is for an original Victorian cast iron fireplace dating from the end of the 19th century made in cast iron and cast with fine detail, it truly is a rare item . The detail of the casting is quality that cannot be produced today .It till retains its original tiles (only one damaged). The fireplace can be used for burning wood or coal as used in England in the Victorian period or just for show . These fireplace mantels look fabulous fitted in country cottages or log cabins to add some real character. The whole fireplace has been painstakingly stripped and polished to take away the hundreds of years of paint and dirt leaving it ready to fit in your abode .
