Vintage black velvet hat - $75 - (Slidell, LA)

Absolutely beautiful vintage 1930's black velvet large hat with pink velvet flowers. The brim is covered in netting which has a tiny hole on 1 side. This hat was my mother's and was kept in a hat box for at least 60 years. It is in excellent condition with the one tiny tear in the netting. The flowers are a pink crushed velvet material, detachable and pinned on with the original hat pins. Found this after her death and have it displayed on a hat stand. As far as I know this has not been worn in at least 55 to 60 years. Very collectible. Have seen these new for over $300. I have charged $20 for shipping because this will have to be in a special sized box so it won't be crushed. Beautiful for display. Very elegant.
