TEN TEC JUPITER - $650 - (Hendersonville, NC)
The TenTec Jupiter is a 160-10 meter transceiver, with a general coverage receiver covering 100Khz to 30Mhz. This was the one box/front panel version of the Pegasus, and is considered SDR type equipment. Does not have the internal antenna tuner. Nominal power out is 100 watts, and of course, has the TT famous QSK. All modes are supported. This unit comes with a manual and 12VDC power cord, TenTec desk mic, and a headset/boom mic setup(not TenTec). The headset has 2 plugs, one goes into the headphone jack, the other the mic jack, not one common plug. You will have to provide a suitable 12 VDC power supply of the amperage needed for this radio to transmit at its full capabilities. This transceiver is fully functional, has been checked for power out and receive on all bands, but there is no guarantee that this will meet factory specs as originally delivered. I have followed selling prices on several Jupiters and the demise of TenTec seems to have affected what folks are willing to spend. This one is listed BIN of $650 to make up for the exorbitant cost to sell and exchange funds electronically, and include free shipping. I do have a make offer option, also with free shipping and insurance to CONUS, will negotiate with those lucky enough to live in AK or HI. Please keep in mind there is a limit when considering your offer, when weighed against my cost to ship and distance from NC as a factor, a low offer could be acceptable if you are in SC, but not so CA.
