What a classic outfit! Barbie’s vintage outfit, Student Teacher, was issued in 1965 and is #1622 in the Barbie catalog. This outfit includes a red stretchy bodice and sleeves, attached red and white houndstooth skirt, white collar and insert with red buttons, and a shiny red belt with “gold” buckle. The accessories are great with this outfit: a globe, a pointer, and a geography book. Completing this outfit are red closed toe pumps and a five-face Barbie fashion booklet #2. This Student Teacher outfit has never been removed from box (NRFB) and is in mint condition with a near mint++ box (soft crease along the middle of the left side of the box.) The round outfit sticker is not present, but but a handwritten sticker with the outfit number is present, indicating this outfit most likely came from Europe. This outfit has been stored away from heat and light in my non-smoking home, as part of my personal collection. I’ve had an extensive NRFB collection since I began collecting in 1988, but I’ve run out of space and it’s time to share some of these treasures.
