ORIGINAL SILKSCREENED DISNEYLAND ATTRACTION POSTER "TWA ROCKET TO THE MOON" RARE - $27,000 - (Los Angeles, CA)

This is the real deal, one of only a handful made, and a stunner. Not a slick color enhanced reproduction (minus the TWA logo), but an original, framed 1956 hand silk-screened "TWA Rocket to the Moon" Attraction poster created to be displayed in Disneyland. This is by far the best and largest ( 54" by 36") graphic representation of the iconic "Moonliner" design, part of the "Space Race" inspiration that Walt Disney created via the "Man on the Moon" and "Man in Space" television programs. This poster has a white border, meaning it is a first and earliest run from 1956. Rare indeed. Designed by Bjorn Aronson, the Moonliner is most fondly remembered for it's signature TWA lipstick red and white paint scheme which matched their aircrafts at the time. Only lasting several years till Douglas took over the sponsorship of the attraction and changed the design forever. The "Moonliner" was only in the park from 1955 till 1966. It's been professionally cleaned and fully restored, then linen mounted for archival purposes. Request more photos if desired. Condition is as shown in the image. The colors are stunning. A favorite for Airline, Disney, and Space Race collectors. In 2015, another RTTM poster described with folds and creases, and still yellowed, went above estimate at auction for $24,500.00. with fees it was well over 28k. Auction Page attached. Compare.
