KB14 Kingsville Boxwood Buxus microphylla, informal bonsai tree with great Branch ramifications and super surface roots. This tree is 30 years old and was started from a select cutting and stands 15" tall, from the bottom of the pots feet to the trees top. It has a superior structure, surface roots and full canopy. Its planted in a blue Japanese glazed pot that measures 10 1/2"x 8 1/2" and 3 3/4" from the pots lip to the base of the feet.  The naturally small leaves and finely flakey bark of Kingsville make them an ideal Candidate for bonsai. I have tended this tree from its beginnings, as a cutting from its parent tree.  Ships to U.S. 48 only. The leaves are bright green, 10–25 millimetres (0.39–0.98 in) long, oval with a rounded or notched tip. The species was first described from Japanese cultivated plants of an unknown origin; these are dwarf shrubs that only grow to a height of 1 metre (3 ft 3 in), possessing small leaves less than 18 millimetres (0.71 in) long. Wild box plants in Japan differ somewhat, growing to be 2–3 m tall with leaves up to 25 mm long; they are sometimes distinguished as Buxus microphylla var. japonica. Buxus microphylla var. compacta (Kingsville Dwarf Boxwood) and similar cultivars are frequently used for creating bonsai.
