Welcome to Antiques & Moore! THIS LISTING IS FOR AN UNUSUAL 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH MAJOLICA POTTERY 7.5" PITCHER DECORATED WITH LOVELY PASTEL COLORS AND A RAM'S HEAD ON FRONT. THIS NICE PITCHER IS VERY ATTRACTIVE WITH THE USE OF PASTEL COLORS AND THE DIFFERENT ELEMENTS IN THE DESIGN. IN THE CENTER FRONT OF THE PITCHER IS A RAM'S HEAD WITH CURVING HORNS AND THE TWISTED HANDLE HAS PAW FEET. THE COLORS ARE LIGHT GREEN LAVENDER, MAUVY-ROSE (INTERIOR), KHAKI GREEN AND BUTTERY-YELLOW. THE DESIGN HAS NUMEROUS TEXTURES AND PATTERNS.THE PITCHER IS IN EXCELLENT ESTATE CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS. THE COLORS ARE ALL BRIGHT WITH NICE GLAZE. MEASURES 7 1/2" HIGH, 5 1/2" WIDE (HANDLE TO SPOUT) WITH A 2 1/2" BASE DIAMETER. WEIGHS 1.2 POUNDS. THIS PITCHER IS UNMARKED AS TO MAKER, HOWEVER, WE BELIEVE THAT IT IS ENGLISH MADE BETWEEN THE PERIOD 1860-1880.
