Old Dan Guere African mask on professional display stand. - $650 - (Perkasie, PA)

Carved wooden mask with attached animal hide and textile collar and headdress adorned with cowrie shells and animal claws. From the Dan peoples and most likely the Guere ethnic group, Cote de Ivorie, West Africa. The mask has carved teeth and remains of paint around the eyes. This mask shows extensive field use and wear and is a vintage to antique "Collector Quality" example. The mask itself measures 11.5 x 8 inches and will also include a professional custom metal display stand.ConditionVery well weathered, overall Good condition.
