Your chance to purchase what remains one of ARC's best DAC's, even after ... two decades! Prior to the Reference DAC, the DAC3 Mk II was the last DAC released by ARC with a tube output stage. Exceedingly rare, along with the equally stellar CD3 Mk II. I'm the second owner of the DAC, the first owner having received this and the CD3 Mk II as a gift from Bill Johnson. It has seen sparing use in a third system used to test ... tuners (please, no guffawing - we all have our inexplicable vices), hence the mess depicted in the last few photos. Sole reason for selling is that the combo was recently replaced with a one-box solution from ARC. Cosmetically the DAC is in stellar condition, a solid 9/10. The unit has upgraded silver handles. Operationally, it performs as it should. Being sold with the original manual and power chord as well as a 1-meter pair of authentic ARC digital cable (BNC-to-BNC). I have the original double shipping boxes. Asking price includes FedEx Ground shipping to anywhere in the Lower-48.
