A most unusual heavy well made vintage antique sterling silver brooch, studio artist? Celtic? kind of reminds me of a book plate illumination. Reminiscent of the english Arts & Crafts Movement style. Ornate scrolling floral openwork design with blackened frame surround. Condition is excellent. Marked Sterling with makers mark that looks like two crossed hooks or tools. Measures 1 7/8" across, weighs 16.7 grams.
