Rare Solid Silver Encased Chess Board W Maker Stamp - $1,985 - (Sherman Oaks, CA)

Possibly a wealthy family owned chess board hallmarked with a stamp but very worn out so difficult to tell what it is. C. ...y's ? 925 stamp and Silver was Tested by jeweler and came out as 900+ in purity so very high. It weight almost 2lbs even tho the board is relatively small. 8.5 x 8.5 x 2.5 and the squares measure 1.5 inches The board does share similar designs from some of the Russian silver chess boards seen in museums. The legs are designed as leafs with very nice casting all of which tests above 900 grade silver. The wood board appears to be made of maple wood at least the blond square but unsure. The board does have a split under but doesn't affect the top part at all. Beautiful chess board addition to any collection or to compliment a small scale set.
