For sale is a very rare promotional packet from the retrospective art show in Moscow titled, ANDY WARHOL: His Art and Life 1928-1987. Included in this lot are some very interesting promotional material from the exhibition Andy Warhol: His Art and Life 1928-1987 from the St. Petersburg Hermitage Museum show in Moscow, Russia.The material is filled inside a folder with Warhol’s face on the cover with print in English and Russian detailing the name of the exhibition underneath as well more information printed inside regarding further details including sponsors and organizer information (in Russian and English). This very rare set of Warhol memorabilia is quite unique. The material inside includes the following:A large, 18” x 32” poster (some noticeable creasing from being folded) which has a blank white strip along the bottom, presumably where info regarding the date and time of the retrospective would be written.A program from the show (5.5” x 8.5”) by author Thomas Sokolowski. This book has text and color illustration on 16 pages.A two page statement from October 3, 2000 which details Warhol’s BMW Art Car.A three page statement on the exhibition concerning the dates as well as more details from the show. The folder is in very good condition with some storage were.The program and papers show light signs of wear.
