McIntosh Amp MC2300 - $2,750 - (Irwin, PA)
This legendary amp was just renewed to McIntosh Specifications by the regional McIntosh dealer/authorized Technician. 2 x 300 watts per channel or 600 watts mono. Actual output close to 350/channel. It's ready for another 40 years of trouble-free service with new transistors, resistors, caps, and new lamps at a cost of $530. It has a warranty on parts and labor until May 1st. This unit was built in 1977 with a 3Y serial number, and therefore, has the thermostatic fans which only run if necessary. I tested it after the Mac service for days now. The fans never even come on. It barely gets luke-warm. What a powerhouse. Powers any speakers from .5 -16 ohms . McIntosh ratings are very conservative. It fits in a rack at 19"wide x17" deep x 10-1/2" high. Original Manual and service manual copy. The little cart it sits on is NFS and for convenience. It is a beast at 125 pounds but also a beauty and therefore it is pick up only, face to face.
