Technics SA-800 Receiver, Serviced - $1,100 - (Lake Park, MN)
This Technics classic from 1978, has had a full servicing and partial rebuild.This was a non working trade in that I finally got around to.I replaced all the input and output transistors and used new thermal compound.Replaced about 50 caps throughout Power, EQ, Tuner, Amp card sections.Reflowed boards as I progressed through them.Went through all switches and pots with proper cleaner and lubricants.Cleaned and brandished the safety relay.Dialed in and cleaned the tuning section, with string replacement.Installed new LED's for proper illumination.Tested and verified everything in perfect working order.New pads installed on feet.Wood is decent with small repairs on a couple of corners.Faceplate is a solid 9 with only tiny imperfectionsThe SA 800 is conservatively rated at 125 watts per side.It of course bench tests much higher.
