DW Classics Series 7x14 snare with Black Ice FinishPly and chrome hardware - $545 - (Westminster, MD)

DW Classics Series 7x14 maple mahogany VLT with Classics series re-inforcement rings. The FinishPly is Black Ice (which includes bronze/amber sparkles) and the hardware is chrome. This snare drum is in excellent condition and sells new for $663. This is a hard-to-find and awesome sounding Classics Series snare that is relatively neutral and integrates with a variety of DW's FinishPly exteriors. I bought this to use with the Classics kit that I have but am selling on eBay. If you're a fan of the VLT or MM-VLT shell, this is a great addition to your snare battery. If you play a Classics kit, then this provides a snare that compliments your kit along with a finish than can be used with a variety of exteriors. The re-rings the Classics line adds to the MM-VLT shell gives it noticely more crack with rimshots-when tuned in the higher register, but it retains the wide tuning range of the MM-VLT shell design. I previously had one of these in the 5" depth, and it was a great snare. The 2" additional depth, however, gives the responsive maple mahogany shell more opportunity to influence the sound of this shell design. I am selling this and a wide variety of other percussion items in excellent used condition. Although I have indicated 3 days to ship, my practice is to ship the day after your payment is made.
