The headboard is 70 inches high. The head board and frame are all in very good condition, almost like new. This bed set would fit well in a room with a ceiling height of over 8 feet high to 12 feet high. It stands high and its 36 inches from the floor to the top of the bed. There is 13 inches beneath the bed to the floor for storage under the bed. Fits well for a tall person to climb into but no so comfortable for a short individual.
