Vintage Briggs Clinton Reo After Market Accessory Reduction Drive Assembly - $120 - (Bemidji, MN)

Here is an interesting accessory for a small gasoline engine. This after market reduction gear assembly mounts to the output side of a horizontal shaft engine powering a 6" drum. The drum on this unusual small engine accessory has a 1-1/2" wide flat belt type pulley area with a raised ridge on one side. My original though was that this was a winch however there is no area to secure a rope or cable. The gears are marked Boston though there is no information or like items to be found. All internal gears are in good condition with the 3/4" engine shaft drive gear included though the tin cover has a few dents & dings. Check out my other items. Questions cheerfully answered.
