Original Typed and Printed Document Signed – Contract Between William Faulkner and CBS Television licensing a television adaptation of “Knight’s Gambit.” 2 pages, May 31, 1955. Signed by William Faulkner and initialed by him once in the margin. Very good with some slight handling, a few tiny staple holes to the top left corners, two 1” tears to the top and outer edges of the first page and a few other tiny edge tears, and creases from folding. Faulkner’s story title was changed to “Wild Stallion” when it appeared on the series ‘Climax,’ and starred Mary Astor, Kathleen Crowley, Roy Glenn, Wilton Graff (as Faulkner’s famous character Gavin Stevens), Paul Henreid, and Richard Long.
