KENWOOD TWINS R599D and T599D This set is rare and appears to be working but I don't have much knowledge of these.I purchased this set from a local estate sale. The set lights up and everything seems to beintact. Hooked it to a 5 BTV antenna and the receiver was working, the transmitter keysup with very low output. The Plate currant and voltages are correct and it tunes in cw andtune mode the set will need some TLC and new final tubes two 6146's around $50.00There is no mystery here, I would love to keep this one but I have no room in my shackI am knee deep in radios. I love to buy sell and collect them as a hobby only. There couldn'tbe that much wrong with it even if you had to remove the cover lid off the receiver andrefinish it. The rest of the radio is beautiful and very clean inside and out. There is a free manual for this set online and I will send the buyer the link after the sale. This set will be sold as parts not working. There are some blemishes on the top lid cover of the receiver as mentioned. The cords and cables are all there. You will need to have onecoax jumper. The set looks to have 28 mhz and 144 mhz added.They will be packed well and possibly have to be shipped separate. Due to the sensitive nature and age of older electronics there will be no returns.Also the correct tune procedure must be used. I am sure the buyer will knowhow to use this set. It is a beautiful Radio and very clean. The receive sounds great.Please ask any kindly questions you may have and check my feedback.
