If you make a wash of thinned out water color or fabric acrylic paint, I think that you can use that on the back side to even out the color and repair the backside so that it doesn't look like the trim bled onto the back. This is a rescue from an estate sale. I feel that it is super pretty even though the green trim got wet and bled onto the muslin backing.
