This impressive antique fireplace surround is from Belgium and it dates to the early 1900's. It was salvaged from a chateau in Flanders, Belgium. This is a premium quality surround: it is constructed from solid, quarter-sawn oak with oak veneering and inlays on the flat portions. It is in very good antique condition, straight, solid and with no significant damage. Note several small cutouts in the base and crown at the rear as well as minor discolorations where the base was covered with marble near the opening. We will ship it partially disassembled.
