This book was the social studies book my husband used in middle school in the mid 1970's.The book was published by Ginn and Company as a text book for use in public school systems. It was in the midst of the Cold War era and you have references in it to West & East Germany, the USSR and countries that existed, and did not exist, during the time of the Soviet block and the Iron Curtin. There are no torn, ripped, written on or folded pages in the book. It is a hardback and the corners are still sharp as ever.
