Description This Octal Tweed Deluxe head based of 5B3 Tweed Deluxe circuit that used octal pre-amp tubes. While not as well known as the later 5E3 Deluxe these early Deluxes are simply incredible . The octal pre-amp which imparts incredibly fat and responsive overdrive. The cleans are especially rich. Thick swampy and rich are the adjectives that come to mind! It's gritty with tele and unlike many tweeds this amp works especially well with PAFs type humbuckers. If you are after gritty power tube overdrive you'll love this amp! This amp has Solid State/Tube rectifier switch which helps you control the amp of sag.I've also modified it to take pedals better than the original. Each one of my amps is carefully built and tested.
