The neckace, bracelet and earrings are extremely comfortable to wear. It was manufactured using the electroform process, making it more lightweight than its appearance would indicate. During the electroform process, deposits of (in this case) sterling silver are made onto a pre-cast substrate or mandrel (in this case, the mandrel is made of wax). When the desired number of coatings have been achieved, the wax is drained out of the mandrel, leaving the designed sterling outer shell.
