This Vellum had a Radiocarbon analysis test on March 9th, 2017 at A.E. Lalonde AMS Laboratory (Canadian centre for AMS and environmental radionuclide research) at the University of Ottawa. Test results was for 95.4% Probability, Median cal 734 AD which is 115-116 AH (Hijri) Full report is Available. This leaf is from Surah Al-Hajj, Verses from mid. 37 to mid. 39, Juz 17, Hizb 34 Kufic is the oldest calligraphic form, it was developed around the end of the 7th century in Kufa, Iraq, from which it takes its name Kufic was prevalent in manuscripts from the 7th to 11th centuries, it was the main script used to copy the Quran.
