MADONNA OF THE CHAIR - AFTER RAFAEL - GOLD GILT FRAME Oil on Board 12 X 11 1/2 inches frame size The original, by Rafael was painted in 1514 and has remained in Italy since 1539 only to visit Paris once. I stated that origin is unknown but it is most likely European. I stated that the date is unknown but I would guess around 1800. Also included is a label that came off the back of the painting when I unpacked it. Provenance : I am selling this for my mother who is now in a nursing home I remember mother saying that it was painted by Bartolemeo Pedon but that is unfounded as far as I can tell. In case you're not sure, that is John the Baptist on the right. shipping listed is for the lower 48 states
