antique cast Iron wall lantern - $1,650 - (Spencer, MA)

A 1930's Exterior Cast Iron Wall Lantern. As lanterns go, it is big. Lantern comes from a bridge in Western Ma. 40" long x top of lantern 17" across, bottom of lantern is 11" across. Both top of lantern and bottom is hinged for access. Wall plate measures 8" wide x 12" tall All the glass holders appear to be intact. Lantern has upper porcelain reflector plate. This lamp should be stripped and repainted. Glass panels need to be replaced. Lamp needs to be rewired. No broken cast iron, the paint looks to be a 1/8" thick in spots These oversize lanterns are found on public work projects and building facades. Most notably in the Art Deco style.
