General George Washington - $400 - (York, SC)
This is an original one of a kind oil portrait painted on a primed 16x20 oval canvas, protected with it's final coat of varnish. The canvas is secured in a beautiful (2 1/4 in.) white marble-look hardwood frame with gold rose accents. The frame is wired and ready to hang in your parlor. In this Revolutionary War portrait of General Washington, I pay homage to early Portrait Artist: Charles Willson Peale, without whose fine work many of the images of our 17th century Americans would not exist. I paint in a Classical method that I feel gives my work a timeless quality. My desire is to create modern heirlooms that may be enjoyed today and passed on for future generations to enjoy for years to come! Due to studio space limitations I'm selling my portrait of General Washington, and selling him for a very reasonably low 2005 amount.
