RARE "SINGER MACHINE EMBROIDERY" Book by Dorothy Benson - $13 - (Piscataway, NJ)

This is a 79-page book subtitled "The Artistic Possibilities of the Domestic Sewing Machine". It was published in London, England but I could find no copyright date. The photos and graphics would lead me to guess that it was printed sometime in the 1950's. The book is actually a series of 25 lessons on the techniques of machine embroidery, ranging from the simple to the complex. It is generously illustrated and, for the most part, in color. The book is complete with no tears or marks but it is only in FAIR condition. Near the center, some pages are loose. Others have been taped and, judging from the condition of the tape, this was done some time ago. The spline of the book shows wear near the top but the covers are still firmly attached. Please examine my pictures carefully and ask any questions that you may have. Thank you for viewing my auction!!!! PLEASE NOTE!!!
