Antique Meiji Period 1880 Japanese Cloisonne enamel & wire vase with delicately worked quails, butterflies, peonies, chrysanthemums, and border motif on a background shade of azure blue.This was originally purchased at Soth*by's NY Auction House by an international, intellectual-property lawyer and do not have paperwork from that purchase. As shown in pictures, this is in overall excellent condition for age, no dents, enamel intact and overall beautiful condition, interior is clean. Light signs of age, a tiny .06" light scratch as shown on one quail and tiny crack in the enamel on the back surface near butterfly. Measures 13" high Circumference 22" around shoulder of vase Diameter 7" across Though I try to be accurate on measurements, there can be slight differences with tape measurements so consider (within fractions) measurements could differ slightly.
