dated 19th Century Baku/ Shirvan Cauvasian Rug- Fjaa - $4,200 - (Pittsburgh, PA)

Unique Baku- Shirvan Runner from east Caucasian, size 3 ft. 4 inches by 8 ft. 2 inches, circa dated A.H. 1289, A.D. equivalent 1872. Row's of boteh motifs in red,blue,green,sand and yellow, in different direction covered the entire blue field. This rug is in linked to the classic boteh Khila composition,attractive rug with good color combination, design, weave and age. Excellent condition with some slight oxidized browns, slight older repair and slight fold wear in one area, complete rug with all original ends and edges, wool weft and warp.
