This is an original Akai 15 IPS Adapter for the M-7 and M-8, according to the outer box. This particular capstan sleeve has the metal "notch" on the end for securing itself onto the capstan. This original 15 IPS Pinch Roller and Capstan Sleeve appear to be in its original, factory supplied plastic bag. The staple is still secure. The box itself has some indentations, but still looks quite wonderful. The folding flaps inside are also still attached for proper storage. We have been collecting vintage Akai products for many years, and this is the first time we have ever encountered this item in such a wonderful state.With all that being said, we cannot guarantee any functionality as this is untested since the plastic bag appears to be unopened.
