A 1948 Tootsietoy Red / Silver Lockheed P-80 Military Jet Shooting Star all original finish, parts and complete This listing is for a vintage toy by Tootsietoy, a red / silver Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star Jet in all original finish and complete with no breakage or missing parts. The jet plane is in excellent condition with original shiny paint / finish with no broken parts. The paint is original and has some minor chips but is still in excellent condition with no touchups or repairs and no oxidation usually seen with these. The wheels and tires are also original. This plane was available in the Tootsietoy Pan Am Airport Set 6500. The P-80 Shooting Star is famous for being the first US military Jet ever made and was specifically made for WWII, but not was available until just after the war. Great toy with some real history.
