Sericel by Disney MICKEY AS SORCERER APPRENTICE From Fantasia, (1940) Limited edition of 5000, released in 1993. From the certificate of authentication: "Most of the original cels used in the production of the film are no longer available, but the Walt Disney Studio has chosen to recreate select Disney character images using the silk-screen process of color reproduction. Disney artists, ... have translated the original image to a hand-inked, hand-painted cel. Walt Disney Imagineering then used this cel in the production of these sericels." The sericel, frame and double matting are in good condition:The plexiglass covering the cel has a couple of scratches in the upper right corner.The wood frame is the original frame used by Disney, a black plastic veneer. It has several small scratches around the perimeter. The item measures 21 3/8" x 18 3/8". The COA is attached to the back of the frame.
