Antique Silver (plated) Fork,'1847 Rogers Bros', Longhunter, Eastern Woodlands - $10 - (Bay City, OR)
Antique Silver (plated) Fork,'1847 Rogers Bros', Longhunter, Eastern Woodlands. This great looking fork would be perfect for your current or next reenacting impression. Nicely and perfectly worn it looks like a 'veteran' item haversack stuffer. The fork has four tines and that would dis include some eras but for early 18th (1720's and up) century they are appropriate.. The maker's stamp ( 1847 Rogers Bros) has a modern look (perhaps early 1900's) to it but the fork is pure traditional in it's appearance and would mesh really well with most Rev, F&I and 1812 mess kits. The fork has seen some wear, there are scuff marks on the handle portion and some plating has worn off the tines. The fork measures 71/2 inches and has a good weight to it. Thanks for visiting and Good Luck Bidding!
